Addicted to Dong Yi
Dong-Yi (동이 ) is an MBC Historical 60-episode drama about the love story between King Sukjong and Choi Suk-Bin, also known as Dong Yi. It is produced by Lee Byung-hoon who also directed Jewel in the Palace in 2003.
Synopsis
Set during the reign of King Sukjong in the Joseon dynasty, the series is based on the historical character Consort Suk. The story focuses on Dong Yi, a slave maid working in the Bureau of Music. Her warm personality, sincerity and exceptionally keen mind help her in solving difficult court intrigues and allow her to rise in the ranks, first as a Lady of the Court and then as a Concubine, despite being Lowborn.
While solving a case, she meets the King who introduces himself as a Court Judge. He enjoys her treating him as a real court judge and he falls in love with her. She also gains the favor of Queen Inhyeon and meets Jang Hee Bin, another concubine who is first an ally but later a bitter enemy.
In her quest to survive in court and bring justice to the Lowborn, she makes many allies, among them: Cha Chun Soo (who she considers an older brother though not blood-related), Seo Yong Gi (Police Chief), and Court Ladies Jung and Bong.
Dong Yi becomes a concubine with the rank of Sook-bin, bears a son who, under her tutelage, later becomes the 21st king of Joseon,Yeongjo, the father of Crown Prince Sado (whom Yeongjo killed by placing him in a wooden coffin-like rice box to starve as punishment) and grandfather of Yi San, or Lee San (Prince Sado's son; Yi San is also known as King Jeongjo).
Dongyi is considered next on Queen Seon Deok as top grossing in Korean novelas.

Panagbenga: Baguio Flower Festival 2012
Penagbenga Festival (English: Flower Festival) is a month-long annual flower festival occurring in Baguio, the summer capital of the Philippines. The term is of Malayo-Polynesian origin, meaning "season of blooming". The festival, held during the month of February, was created as a tribute to the city's flowers and as a way to rise up from the devastation of the 1990 Luzon earthquake. The festival includes floats that are decorated with flowers unlike those used in Pasadena's Rose Parade. The festival also includes street dancing, presented by dancers clad in flower-inspired costumes, that is inspired by the Bendian, an Ibaloi dance of celebration that came from the Cordillera region.
Aside from economic boosts from tourism, the festival also helped the younger generation of indigenous people to rediscover their culture's old traditions. The indigenous people was first wary with government-led tourism because of the threat that they will interfere or change their communities' rituals.
History
The Panagbenga Festival, formerly as the Baguio Flower Festival, was former in 1995 as the brainchild of Attorney Damaso Bangaoet Jr. of the John Hay Poro Point Development Corporation (JPDC) and Victor A. Lim of the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA). Entries from the annual Camp John Nichol Sibug art contest gave its official logo: a spray of sunflowers. The festival was set in February to boost tourism as it was considered as a month on inactivity between the busy days of Christmas season and the Holy Week and the summer season.

The Unhealthy Me, but GOD HEALS!
"MY LIFE'S UPDATE":
what a day it was!
yesterday, i immediately finished my laundry after the Sunday group road run. unfortunately, maybe because of the cold weather and no rest, got tried and felt muscle pains and headache...
i am the type of person, who don't drink meds as long as i can still manage the pain, however, after a day, i gave up... arcoxia 120mg, bioflu 500mg and biogesic 500mg, thank you...
i was able to manage to go to work but no gym for the day....
it was a big realization for me, to still keep myself healthy especially this time of the year that weather is not that good...
Thank God for healing me!

Baguio, My First Trip Destination
it is the second day of the new year, and the last day of the 2-week long Christmas and New Year vacation.
after lunch, am done packing with my things and time to go back to my second home, Baguio City. I started to wait for the bus at around 1:00PM. Partas buses coming from Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Vigan City, Ilocos Sur; and Bangued, Abra were all fully loaded. Luckily, I was able to ride a bus, Chelsea Express at around 5:15PM. Thought I was already lucky, but, we got stranded at San Fernando City, La Union due to engine and air condition failure at around 7:30PM. Got stack, until at around 8:45PM, a van was there to save us. We arrived here in Baguio City at around 10:00PM.
it was a long and exhausting travel going to this beautiful and loving city, but am glad to be back here again. back to my second home, back to a stressful yet fulfilling work, back to an amazing social life, back to my supportive friends. and continue another chapter in my life... God bless everyone!

Today is Better than Yesterday
Let us start the New Year with a New Blogsite... Happy New Year to EVERYONE!
before:
Today My Life Begins Lyrics
before:
started blogging a few years back... was encouraged and inspired by a very good friend and blogger...
as a neophyte blogger... been consistent in posting, ranks were good, having new friends and followers as well... however, like in life, i started to re-think... what is the real purpose of this blog? what is my real purpose in life? what is the real purpose of this blog in my life? during that time, i have no specific topic, at times, i just re-write blogs, and the only point why i blog is to or at least get a revenue... wrong purpose, i think... i was also blocked by Google, twice, became frustrated, then my high spirit on blogging went down.
TODAY:
things are starting to change... knowing better what i want, clearer on things what i want to write... i am not really a writer, or may i say, i could hardly write... but, i just want to start expressing myself into letters, into words, into blog... just want to write the things i loved, i liked, i wanted and i admired... what is inside my heart... spare my grammar, spare my construction, spare me... cause this would be my journal to life, somewhat tracking on how i see life and how i go on with life...
tomorrow:
i ask God's blessings to give me more wisdom and motivation to continue blogging as a way to express my self...
for a re-start, i would like to share this great song, Today My Life Begins by Bruno Mars.
