Career Guidance SY 2012-2013

Career Guidance is a marketing and promotional activity of the University wherein the employees especially the non-teaching staff visit 4th year high school students in the different localities, encouraging them to come and enroll at the University of Baguio. 

The Career Guidance Section of the Office of Student Affairs is spearheaded by Mr. Amado "Boyet" R. Orden Jr. and Mr. Ronald Lopez.

On its third year, it was also my third year in the Career Guidance Team Ilocos Sur and my second time to be the team leader. The Career Guidance Team Ilocos Sur School Year 2012-2013 was composed of Ms. Charmagne P. Niñalga (Center for Counseling and Student Development-Psychometrician), Ms. Lea C. Papay (Library Main-General Collection I Section), Mr. Jason Paul S. Rebolledo (Admissions and Records Center-Records Section), with Wilmar Marquez (driver), and yours truly, Mr. Ericson V. Valdez (Asset Management Department-Inventory Section). We had visited a total of 65 schools on November 21-25, 2011.

Day 1, November 21, 2011
we visited Saint Augustine School, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College-Tagudin, Tagudin National High School [TAGUDIN], Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy, Dili National High School, Sta. Cruz Institute, Pascual Rivera Pimentel Memorial Academy, San Jose High School [STA. CRUZ], Sta. Lucia Catholic School, Sta. Lucia Academy, Nagtablaan National High School, Teodoro Hernaez National High School [STA. LUCIA]. we slept in our family house at Sabuanan, Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur.


Day 2, November 22, 2011
we visited Saint Joseph Institute, Candon National High School [CANDON CITY], Santiago Institute, Santiago Catholic School, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College-Santiago [SANTIAGO], San Esteban Academy [SAN ESTEBAN], Saint Mary's College, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College-Sta. Maria [STA. MARIA], Candon City High School, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College-Candon, Dr. Ricardo Gacula Memorial National High School, Northern Ilocandia College of Science and Technology, Candon City Information Technology National High School [CANDON CITY]. we planned to go to Sinait to Vigan City, but had to change our itinerary because of the Provincial Meet. we went to Sabuanan Beach before dinner.


Day 3, November 23, 2011
we visited Sinait National High School [SINAIT], Pug-os National High School, Cabugao National High School, Cabugao Institute, Lipit National High School [CABUGAO], San Juan National High School [SAN JUAN], The Magsingal Institute, Saint Williams Institute, Magsingal National High School [MAGSINGAL], Benito Soliven Academy [STO. DOMINGO], Divine Word College of Vigan, Ilocos Sur National High School, Vigan West National High School, Vigan East National High School, St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur [VIGAN CITY]. we ate our lunch at Cafe Leona and visited Baluarte.


Day 4, November 24, 2011
we visited Bantay National High School, Tay-ac National High School [BANTAY], Belen National High School, Philippine Science High School-Ilocos Regional Campus [SAN ILDEFONSO], Basug National High School [SANTA], Sulvec Integrated School, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College-Narvacan [NARVACAN], Nagbukel National High School [NAGBUKEL], Narvacan Catholic School, Narvacan National Central High School, San Pedro National High School, Imelda National High School [NARVACAN], Holy Name High School Burgos I. Sur, Inc., Burgos National High School [BURGOS], Santa Maria National High School [STA. MARIA], San Esteban National High School [SAN ESTEBAN], Santiago National High School [SANTIAGO]. we had our relaxation and family outing at Resonable Beach Resort located at Vical, Sta. Lucia, Ilocos  Sur.

Day 5, November 25, 2011
we visited San Emilio Academy [SAN EMILIO], Lidlida National High School [LIDLIDA], Banayoyo National High School [BANAYOYO], Makil Technical School [GALIMUYOD], Sto. Tomas National High School [CANDON CITY], Pagangpang National High School [GALIMUYOD], Salcedo National High School, Dinaratan National High School [SALCEDO]. we bought pasalubong and time to go back in Baguio City. Thank you Papang and Mamang for the food and accommodation!

"MY LIFE'S UPDATE":
was able to start re-fixing my blogsite... went to SM City Baguio Department Store, bought a piece of bo' gym shorts reversible and burlington 3-pair socks... attended ate Rose Ocaña's spinning class... ate dinner at Session Road's Steaks and Toppings with ate Rose and ate Grace Ocaña... at home, watched Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown, Dong Yi, and Saksi (Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona's impeachment trial day 3)... Thank you Father God for today's blessings, Amen!
